YOU. As you begin your journey toward entrepreneurship you’ll come across a number of issues, and there are two basic areas that affects ones life:
- Craft of your Business - Learning about oneself, one’s talents, and how one fits into the market place with both with your talents and skills.
- Business of your Craft - Learning how to making more than a living using your talents. It’s about how to make a profit with what you do. In a nutshell: Sales/Prices – Expenses = Profit.
BUSINESS AND MONEY. But as with any subject, the devil is in the details. As an entrepreneur understanding how to make a profit from the sale of your product and services is the most important part of becoming successful, but being successful also means how one handles money, or finance, over time that makes you successful or not. Why do you think that 78% of NFL players are broke and go bankrupt after leaving the NFL? Because they have not learned how to handle their money.
- Business of Profit - how to make it from all of your efforts, not just making sales. NFL players learned how to turn a profit from their skills, but they lacked the next step.
- Business of Money/Finance - how money, your money habits from your mental money blueprint, affects your financial life.
Your money or financial blueprint in your mind will determine whether you are successful or not. How you think and view money, what you learned growing up from your parents, friends, and other family members affects how you will or will not be successful.
Two books I recommend, one is by Rabbi Daniel Lapin whose book Thou Shall Prosper is the first. Rabbi Lapin shows the moral reasons for wealth.
The second book is by T. Harv Eker, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. Or, if you’d like to get even more intense, attend a three day Millionaire Mind Intensive (MMI):
I have been through the MMI twice by myself and once with my wife at the March, 2011 one in Denver. It was life changing for both of us. I’ve seen poor and rich attend and have seen lives change. Why? Because both the poor and rich can both have the same issues regarding money.
